Who we are
Iron Web is the trading name of Roger Kendall, a sole trader based in Caerphilly county borough, Wales. For this website, Roger Kendall is the data controller for the personal information you give us. You can contact us at hello@ironweb.uk.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form or email us, we collect what you choose to send:
- your name and, if you give it, your business name
- your email address and, if you give it, your phone number
- your website address and your message
We do not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising tools on this website. The fonts are served from our own website, so your visit is not shared with third-party font services.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and carry out the free website check you asked for
- if you become a customer, to provide and invoice for the service you agreed to
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where you ask us for a quote or service, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)). We will not send you marketing emails unless you ask us to, and we never sell or share your details for marketing.
Where it is stored and who sees it
Enquiries are delivered to our business email and a backup copy is kept in a restricted area of our web hosting account. Our website hosting is provided by Heart Internet in the UK. Only the people at Iron Web handling your enquiry can see it. We may need to share information if required by law.
How long we keep it
If you don't become a customer, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep records for as long as you are a customer and then for six years, as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email hello@ironweb.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
